A small and condensed peak into a journey of a man who was saved from sin and transformed by the love of Jesus Christ.

“I didn’t know I was trapped”
John Theodore
Sin infused and drenched with mire,
in the depths of hurt and desire.
This was my state, lost and hopeless,
nowhere could my soul find rest.
Following lies, to and fro I ran,
seeking safety in fantasies of man.
Taking in sin as medicine
to feed the cravings of sin.
Soothing my distress,
wandering in the wilderness
loving the darkness
hiding place for my mess.
No comfort, no relief,
nothing can bring peace.
Everything keeps me longing
No time, I need to keep moving.
The voices scream at me,
they torture and molest me.
I believed them, no one cared,
I felt all alone and scared.
I didn’t know I was trapped.
Degraded at every failing step.
Stupid and worthless to the core,
none would want me no more.
I had no reason to exist any longer,
but for the love of my mother.
There was no answer to them,
no argument enough for them.
I look back, and that’s what I see
A life to please demons around me.
I didn’t know my true identity
ignorant of His majesty.
Had no clue of God’s provision
to heal the hurt from all that poison.
His authority refutes them all
His love fulfills my soul
My only hope is He
I had no eyes to see
No heart to feel
But YOU had mercy on me.
You made me your brother,
You made me your friend,
You made me co-heir
of the heavenly realm.
In You I am rich, in you I am pure,
In You I am loved for evermore.
Yes, I proclaim and I shout it out loud,
Jesus Christ brought this about.
I stand justified, walking in safety,
By my side, He will not leave me.
No voices can resist His demonstration
His sacrifice brought me salvation.
Great News! There is HOPE!

We can choose to cange and become a healthier man.
This life’s journey is meant for MEN!

Hebrews 12:1-3
King James Version (KJV)
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
“Stepping out of our hiding place into the presence of light where all can see us for who we are, needs great vulnerability, but also great courage.“ – John
